Schedule a Baptism

Arrangements for Baptism must be made at least two months in advance of the celebration of the Baptism.  A preparation session for parents is required for those having a child baptized at St. Joseph's for the first time.  These classes are held each month (except during Lent).  Please call Justine Smith at 973-697-6100 at the Parish Office to make arrangements.

Prepare for First Eucharist

Contact Sr. Geraldine for information on Faith Formation for children at 973-208-0636 or contact the Parish Office at 973-697-6100 for  information on the RCIA program. 

Ask for the Lord's Forgiveness

The sacrament of Reconciliation can be received after Saturday morning mass or after 5:00 P.M. mass on Saturday.  Also, any time anyone wishes to receive the Sacrament, please call the Parish Office. 

Prepare for Confirmation

High School Youth: Contact Pat Mattera at the Parish Office, 973-697-6100, or by e-mail chapmat@optonline.net for information about preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Adults: Contact Milt Smilek at the Parish Office,  973-697-6100, for information about preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Request the Sacrament of the Sick

Anyone who is seriously ill or aged and wishes to be anointed should call the Parish Office.  If you or anyone you know is in the hospital, please notify the Parish Office,  973-697-6100.

Schedule a Wedding

Arrangements should begin by setting a date with one of the Parish Priests ONE YEAR before the wedding.  All couples to be married at St. Joseph's must participate in some MARRIAGE PREPARATION PROGRAM.

 RCIA

  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) begins on Septemer 12.   If you know someone who has not been fully initiated into the Catholic faith (received all of their sacraments) this program is for them. If you know someone who is interested in converting to the Catholic faith, this program is also for them. please call the rectory this week to register.

 First Penance
Children preapre for the celebration of the Sacrament of Penance prior to the reception of First Holy Communion.  Preparation for First Penance takes place each year in the Fall.
